Shiba Inu are "More Community-Driven" according to Robinhood

The well-known cryptocurrency exchange Robinhood has declared that Shiba Inu, a meme coin with a dog theme, is more decentralized than its main competitor.

The California-headquartered crypto exchange shilled Shiba Inu in a tweet today describing how the meme coin moved from a mere joke to a sensation in the crypto sector. Robinhood brought up the origin of Shiba Inu, directing readers to a previous post that described the emergence of the coin as "one of crypto's more popular stories."

Robinhood Applauds the Community-Driven Nature of Shiba Inus

Robinhood's statement that the second-largest meme coin by market capitalization was intended to be more community-driven than its main rival, Dogecoin, was one significant Shiba Inu comment that resonated with the community. According to the exchange, the Shiba Inu founders' and team's anonymity demonstrates their commendable goal of decentralization and community involvement.

Despite Dogecoin's earlier launch than Shiba Inu, Robinhood pointed out that the $11 billion market cap token established the standard that the meme coin industry currently follows. Interestingly, Shiba Inu has become more than just a meme coin, and many other memes and jokes draw inspiration from it.

According to Robinhood, Shiba Inu has demonstrated the potential of meme coins in the cryptocurrency space since its launch in 2020. The community achieved this through the expansion of its ecosystem to include layer-2 scaling solution Shibarium and ShibaSwap.

Other Meme Coins Were Mentioned by Robinhood

Since Dogecoin was the first of its sort when it launched in 2013, Robinhood also noted its significance in the meme coin space. Dogecoin is a Bitcoin derivative that was developed to "make cryptocurrency more approachable and fun," according to the article.

The top cryptocurrency exchange added that Dogecoin, which was first created as a joke, swiftly acquired popularity and took part in noteworthy charity events, such as providing cash for the Jamaica bobsled team to compete in the winter 2014 Olympics.

Along with Ethereum-based Pepecoin (PEPE), Robinhood also highlighted other meme coins, including Bonk, which is based in Solana, and Dogwifhat (WIF).
